Made by hand, in small batches
Every bottle is blended, filled and labelled by Lisa in Walkerburn. Small batches mean fresher oils and no need for the preservatives that mass production requires.
One hundred percent natural
Cold-pressed botanical oils and plant extracts. No synthetic fragrance, no fillers, and no ingredient on the label you would need to look up twice.

Years of reacting to everything on the shelf — including the products sold as gentle — sent Lisa looking at labels instead of claims. What she found was that most of what she was paying for was water, filler and fragrance.
So she learned to formulate. Caberston is what came out of it: cold-pressed oils, blended by hand in small batches, for skin that has had enough of being irritated.

A high-street moisturiser is mostly water, held together with a synthetic emulsifier. Ours are undiluted cold-pressed oils — prickly pear, pomegranate, bilberry, poppy seed — pressed in small quantities and expensive by the litre.
That is why a bottle looks small and lasts months. You need three drops, not a handful.
Questions we are asked most
Is this suitable for sensitive skin?
It is what the range was formulated for. There is no synthetic fragrance, no alcohol and no preservative system in any product.
One honest caveat: five of the seven contain a small amount of cold-pressed sweet orange peel oil (Citrus aurantium dulcis), which is a citrus essential oil. It is there for the natural scent. Citrus oils are a known sensitiser for some people, so if you react to them, the Cleansing Oil and the Eye Serum are the two that contain none. Botanical oils are active ingredients whatever their source — patch test on your inner arm for 24 hours before using anything new on your face.
How long does one bottle last?
A 30ml serum used morning and night lasts roughly eight to ten weeks. A 100ml cleansing oil lasts around three months. Because the formulas are undiluted oil rather than mostly water, you need far less per use than you may be used to.
Why is it more expensive than what I buy at the chemist?
Because there is no water in it. A high-street moisturiser is typically seventy per cent water with a synthetic emulsifier holding it together. These are cold-pressed oils — prickly pear, pomegranate, bilberry — pressed in small quantities and expensive by the litre. You are paying for the contents rather than the volume.
What if it does not suit me?
Return it within thirty days, opened or not, and we will refund you in full. Skincare is personal and no formula suits everyone — you should not be out of pocket for finding that out.
When will my order arrive?
Orders placed before 1pm are posted the same working day from Walkerburn. UK delivery is two to three working days, and free over £50. We do not currently ship outside the UK.
Is the packaging really plastic-free?
Yes, including the parts you do not see. Frosted glass jars, bamboo lids, aluminium droppers, paper tape and a cardboard outer. The only exception is the dropper bulb, for which no non-plastic alternative currently exists that keeps an airtight seal.
